Planned around your visitors and call to action
If your site’s not planned before it’s designed, it may end up pretty, but it won’t be usable. Or profitable. To really get a return on your investment, you need it to compel your visitors to act. And to do that, you need to plan the entire site around 2 things:
- What you want your visitors to do (your call to action); and
- What your visitors want to do
And if there are conflicts between your needs and theirs, you need to find ways to resolve them.
By developing sitemaps and wireframes, I can isolate the information elements of the site from the aesthetic elements. This makes it easier for me (and you) to focus on the fundamental message of the site and the journey it will take your visitors on.
Sitemaps
A sitemap is a diagram that shows how all the pages of your site will fit together. It illustrates meaningful page groups, hierarchies and labels.
Wireframes
Wireframes are interactive sketches showing the layout of each page – how everything fits together on the page.
